Dr. Fereshteh Afi was born and raised in Tabriz, Iran. She received her DVM from the University of Tabriz in 2012, and her DVSc in small animal internal medicine from the University of Tehran in 2017. Dr.Afi attended a clinical scholar program at the Ohio State University in 2016, where she had a chance to take advanced training in internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, oncology, emergency and critical care. Dr. Afi and her husband Moein had been running their own practice for 7 years in Iran before moving to Canada. Additionally, she was teaching small animal medicine to DVM students at the University of Tabriz as a visiting professor.

 During her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, doing yoga, and spending time with her husband Moein and dog Lily. She is extremely excited to begin her career with the Egan Animal Hospital team.
